cant ping the domain cant see wiki.guildwars.com ...

anyone know wtf is going on? ive been afk from my pc for a year or so getting back into guildwars but site is done? thought maybe the servers where down but that is not the case :_)

This has been happening for a few weeks for some people on at least three different ISP's. If you want to access the official site use https://www.guildwars.com/ You can't access the offcicial wiki. For some reason port 443 is ok, but they are blocking port 80 for some people. They did a "fix" a week ago which worked for a few minutes but now no longer works.

Your best thing to do is contact them at http://help.plaync.com/cgi-bin/playn...nduser/ask.php They are still trying to get more information from people according to the last response I received.

Jip not been able to access the site (or anything guildwars.com) at all for the last 3 weeks. Use https like fusa said or use something like www.zend2.com to get to the wiki

It's the same for me. From your nick and use of the word 'jip' I'm assuming you're South African as well. I have accounts on both our Internet backbones and neither let me access anything on guildwars.com.

Is the block on our side (i.e. ISPs) or on ArenaNet's side?

Same problem for me, thanks for all the useful links. I have the same problem with the official site, wiki, arenanet.com and plaync.com (although using the link fusa gave I was able to submit a support ticket, but using that page to go to the *home* gave me the unavailable error) Using the link fusa gave for the official guildwars site worked as well for me.

I'm using hughesnet satellite.

This problem started for me after the first week of December 08.

The issue appears to be between an uplink provider and the A.net servers. I contacted my ISP and they also could not access the site. I suspect it is somewhere where the backbones land in europe.

It is affecting people on both east coast and west coast US, so not just in Europe.
